GoDB Tech, a software product firm specializing in enterprise mobility solutions, has unveiled a cloud-based mobile Order Management System (OMS) for SME manufacturers and distributors in India.
Industry experts believe that the new offering strengthens GoDB’s growing portfolio of enterprise mobility solutions that help organizations manage and grow their business.Officials with GoDB Tech said that the state-of-the art cloud based mobile OMS is powered by the GoDB mobility platform, which is compatible with most of the mobile phone models including entry level Java phones, smartphones and Andriod models.
According to company officials, the application not only has an inbuilt recommendation engine to up-sell during order taking, but also has a graphical dashboard for management analysis and decision-making. The OMS integration with Tally ERP will help sales people in order fulfillment and invoicing without any need of branch support and ensures quick adoption."GoDB has always produced enterprise mobility solutions to large FMCG organizations. This application creates new benchmarks for the SME manufacturers and distributors in India. It significantly improves the order-to-cash cycles for SME businesses and reiterates our commitment to our customers," said Mahavir Chand, director, GoDB Tech, in a statement.Company officials said that GoDB Tech intends to distribute this service through the Tally partner network and provide support through local sales team and online channels. The new cloud based mobile OMS will also be extended to retail outlets to place orders directly to the manufacturer / distributor for faster order fulfillment.
OMS, company officials, is available as a service for a user based monthly fee, a model which is already prevalent in the Indian market for mobile connections from Telcos.
GoDB Tech has already won a handful of initial customers for its cloud based mobile OMS.
Earlier in February, India’s private general insurance company Reliance General Insurance (RGICL) had announced that it has partnered with GoDB Tech for the development of a mobile insurance point of sale (M-POS) application. The GoDB M-POS application is an industry-first Policy Issuance system working on smartphones/tablets on Android (News - Alert). The M-POS application is presently rolled out on Android devices and is powered by the GoDB mobility platform, which is already deployed on the existing PC based offline POS systems at RGICL across the country.
