Spare Backup's mobile backup and security tools are being rolled out to Turkcell's (News - Alert) 35 million mobile subscribers.
Spare Backup provides data backup and security software for smartphones, tablets and PCs. The company will begin the roll out along with the opening of Turkcell's flagship stores.
Once the roll out is complete, the backup and security tools will be available throughout 1,200 exclusive Turkcell sales points.
“We are excited to begin the launch phase with Turkcell as we have spent months gearing up for what we believe is a game changer for our company,” said Cery Perle, CEO of Spare Backup. “Turkcell is the leader operator in Turkey and through this partnership we gain access to tens of millions of customers including their rapidly growing 3G subscriber base.”
As per the agreement between the two companies, multiple channels will be used to market the Spare Backup services to Turkcell subscribers. A support team comprising of about 10 individuals from Spare Backup will help in activities such as in-store promotions, sales training and activations.
Turkcell is an established communications and technology company in Turkey with more than 35.2 million subscribers. Spare Backup aims to present a model to the mobile telecommunication industry by collaborating with Turkcell.
Also, Spare Backup expects this partnership to lead to additional launches with other Telco's across the globe.
“We are leaving no stone unturned in our efforts to make this an unconditional success,” added Perle.
Spare Backup was in news last month for successfully completing the testing phase in preparation for the launch of Spare Mobile Backup and Security with a major international telephone carrier.
