BLU Products, a mobile phone manufacturer, unveiled its new Quattro Series of smartphone devices powered by the NVIDIA (News - Alert) Tegra 3 1.5 GHz quad-core processor featuring a fifth battery saver core.
According to officials, the Quattro Series delivers optimum smartphone functionality besides providing console-quality gaming, with graphics, fast applications and multitasking. The smartphones in the Quattro Series run on Android (News - Alert) 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. This will be upgraded to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean soon.
The devices feature connectivity capabilities including quad-band GSM and penta-band 21Mbps HSPA+, including 1700MHz AWS for use in the United States.
The Quattro 4.5 HD smartphone comes in an aluminum and glass unibody, bringing together design aesthetics and quality. The clarity, color and richness in photos and video are enabled by the Advanced Super View 4.5-inch HD 326ppi display. This also provides a wide choice of viewing angles and contrast ratio.
The screen is protected by a curved scratch resistant, Corning (News
- Alert) Gorilla Glass. The Quattro 4.5 HD maintains image capture quality even in low light or no light conditions owing to its 8 megapixel camera featuring an f/2.4 large aperture lens. It features HD video recording up to 1080p, along with 16GB internal memory and 1GB RAM (News - Alert).
The Quattro 4.5 is a quad-core smartphone performance featuring a 4.5-inch qHD display, 5.0 megapixel autofocus camera enabling HD video recording up to 1080p. It has a 4GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB with an external memory card and 1GB RAM, said officials.
The Quattro 5.7 HD synergizes the capabilities of a tablet and is easily portable like a smartphone. It features a 5.7 inch, 1280 x 720 HD display, an 8 megapixel camera, and allows HD video recording up to 1080p. It has a 4GB internal memory, expandable to 32GB with external memory card, and 1GB RAM. The Quattro 5.7 HD is expected to be available online by the end of March, 2013 for $299.99 in the US.
Recently BLU Products unveiled the VIVO 4.65 HD, in the popular VIVO series of smartphones following the bestselling VIVO 4.3, which launched earlier in 2012. Improvements on the VIVO 4.65 HD, include an increased screen size to 4.65", as opposed to 4.3" from the previous model, as well as improved display resolution with an HD Super AMOLED display, and increase to 1GB of RAM.
