GENBAND (News - Alert), a developer of multimedia and cloud communications solutions, recently signed an agreement with Samsung (News - Alert) Telecommunications America, LLC (Samsung Mobile) to boost progression within the enterprise communications experience.
According to the terms of the agreement, GENBAND will integrate its SMART OFFICE mobile Unified Communications (News - Alert) (UC) applications with Samsung Mobile's SAFE designated devices to transform the standard office communications environment and fully mobile-enable the enterprise market.
“This alliance with GENBAND brings powerful new communications capabilities to the enterprise, fortifying today's mobile workforce with unprecedented on-the-go productivity," said Tim Wagner, vice president and general manager of Enterprise Sales at Samsung Mobile. "Our SAFE solution, which enhances security for enterprise devices, combined with GENBAND's industry leading UC software and service provider expertise, offers enterprise customers a holistic, innovative and cost-effective desk phone complement or replacement solution that will allow employees to carry their communications environment with them, whether inside or outside of the office.”
Moreover, GENBAND’s service provider customers and systems integrator partners will be able to offer Samsung Mobile devices.
“Enterprise communications are quickly evolving to include mobile devices and the cloud, yet services are not integrated, making enterprises primed for the next wave of disruptive, innovative mobile UC technologies," said Sam Waicberg, chief marketing officer at GENBAND. "Our relationship with Samsung, complemented by our SMART multimedia portfolio and partner ecosystem, clearly differentiates this solution from competitive offerings by simplifying and enhancing the enterprise user experience.”
“Our vision is consistent with the vision of many CIO's – a mobile tablet as the primary voice and multimedia communications device bundled with a carrier grade, cloud-based UC service,” Waicberg said.
Meanwhile, GENBAND recently unveiled its “Making Networks Smarter” vision under three strategic solution pillars that enable a SMART CORE, SMART EDGE and SMART EXPERIENCE for its customers. These solutions are expected to provide a unique and exciting set of resources that will enable service providers and enterprises to drive cloud-based and IP solutions to their customers, making their networks and service offerings more secure, scalable, efficient and profitable.
